Moreover, I have, at all times, visited sick and afflicted foreigners residing at Whampoa -
a port which is at a distance of ten English Miles from the place where I reside. And, during the last six years, I have held, regularly, at the port in question, a Sunday Evening Service.
I may, also, add that, since
the abolition of the Consular Chaplaincy at this port, I have
officiated as British Chaplain to
the
foreign Merchants, and others, who reside thereat.
